Elizabeth Koski, Assoc. AIA, Partner
With 18 years of experience primarily focused in the architecture, engineering,
and construction (A/E/C) industry, Elizabeth has directed successful marketing,
business development, and management consulting efforts for Fortune 500
companies, small- and medium-sized businesses, and non-profit organizations.
Prior to starting Calyx, Elizabeth provided independent consulting for
A/E/C-based organizations. Previously, as the Director of Business Development
for a multi-national Fortune 500 engineering and construction firm, she brought
in nearly $2B in new design and construction management projects-most notably
the Rare Isotope Accelerator and the Center for Nanoscale Materials at Argonne
National Laboratory.
At 30, she became the Vice President of Booth Hansen Associates (a leading
Chicago architectural design firm). Through her marketing leadership, the firm
was awarded Business Week's "Good Design is Good Business" award and named the
Chicago AIA "Firm of the Year." She also identified $100K in yearly cost
reduction measures.
Elizabeth is passionate about the A/E/C community and has served on several
non-profit boards and committees, including the American Institute of
Architects (AIA), Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, American
Institute of Architecture Students, ArchVoices, and the Chicago Architecture
Foundation. As an invited speaker at two AIA national conventions, she spoke on
the topics of "Redefining Architecture for the 21st Century" and "Alternative
Careers in Architecture."
Although born and raised in the Chicago area, Elizabeth possesses a worldwide
and multi-cultural perspective. She has traveled extensively in the U.S. and
abroad, lived overseas in both China and Finland, spent a year living in
Washington D.C., and has studied the French, Finnish, Mandarin Chinese, and
Japanese languages.
